Chris, how about PRC vs ROC, or a flair-up of Croatia vs Serbia. I recently gamed out a scenario of Russia vs Ukraine, involving NATO, which was interesting. We involved a mixed armor battalion for Russian forces, and a company each of US, British, and Ukrainian armor. This was mostly a duke-out with armor, with a light company of mixed US-British armored infantry using mostly AFVs to take on Russian scout and infantry platoons. Ukrainians were using T-72s and older T-80s, the Russians T-80Us and T-90s, the US and Brits their top-shelf armor. We've also gamed PRK vs ROK, with US involvement, of course. Pretty much get our ideas from the newspapers, unfortunately.

If you are around, have a more specific senario idea, perhaps some numbers of vehicles and types, to provide more form? Thank you.

Why not a India vs. Pakistan or Peru vs. Chile. For indo/pak things are still hot and both sides still are building up their defense capabilities from nukes to armor. As for Peru and Chile, they too among other south american nations have been buy armor from europe and chins. Peru recent ordered 100+ Type 90-II aka MBT-2000/Al Khalids. All the bells and whisles. Chile now has Leopard 1s and Leopard 2s. About 200+. Soon they will be acquiring German Marder IFVs the are be phased out of German army service. Yeah they suffered an earthquake. But, still buying armor.
PRC vs. ROC Taiwan will be mostly a Naval and air battle due to the standing defense agreements with the US naval forces. I really doubt that China will try to take Taiwan. Its too great of an economical risk due to current political situations. More than likely, China will use economic strength to buy Taiwan istead. Look what they are doing to US economy. Sorry for the political verbatum!
Crotia and Serbia is pretty much in check. Serbia is trying get thier economy running smooth again since the last NATO run thru. NATO will not let that happen again. ------------------> "On The Way!!"

Great ideas, like the Chile & Peru. What does Argentina have now? Chile picking up Marders. Has Germany fielded the replacement yet for the Marder, or these older Marders?
For the type 90-II, what model is that?

Thank you for the links. Chile is building up, Peru going w/MBT 2000. So Germany is producing and fielding the Puma.
Guess I'll have Chile attack Argentina or Peru. Also need to get some of the M113C&A for the 25mm gun to put on M113, so they become AIFV vs. APC.
Thank you Steel for the info. Very nice.

Chile is to procure YPR765 AIFVs from European sources. Possibility with Turkish version. Peru would likely get IFVs from China. Type 89 APCs,WZ551 6x6 have been considered. Need to research political situations between Chile and Peru to find a good reason to fight. ---------- "On The Way!!"

Currently Chile uses M-113 w/ 25mm guns. The YPRs are still in consideration as well as the Marder. Argentina is considering the Marder as well for parts replacement for thier VCTP IFVs a Marder based IFV with the Turret of the German Luchs 8x8 reece vehicle.
For my Argentine armored collection. I use CinC's Marder APC chassis with the Luchs 20mmAC gun turret. Looks great! ---------- "On The Way!!"

I used them on the BTR70s for Ukrainian forces. They modded up the BTR70 for export using the same turret of BTR80A. ---------- "On The Way!!"
