I have had a long time interest in military history and armored vehicles and I only recently discovered 6mm (and 15mm for that matter) and I am hoping to get a few questions answered before I take the plunge (I currently play warhammer (both versions)but I am intersting in expanding into modern military engagements (WW2 to the present).
1. What are the most popular sets of gaming rules for 6mm and why (and which ones should be avoided like the plague???) 2. How much dose a person typically spend to get two playable armys build??? 3. Dose CinC take pay pal (could not find it but I may have missed it)??? 4. What are the best websites when it comes to 6mm gameplay (battle reports, rule sets and such)??? 5. Dose anyone here live in the Sudbury On area and play???

Welcome to 1/285, 6mm scale of micro armor. 1. There are a variety of rules that people/players like, some like rules where each figure represents a platoon, or a company or just a vehicle or group of men or one man. I like to play to where each vehicle represents one vehicle, and where an infantry stand represents a squad of men. But a like a playable set of rules, since I do not want determine if a shot hits the turret ring, the barrel, the vision slot, what exact part of the turret did the round hit? 2. To play moderns, you would probably want to consider two different forces: i.e. US & Russia, or (UK, French, German, Dutch, etc. and perhaps Russia, or China). You can use any two, but I provided the classical 'enemy' situation. If you wanted 2 companies of tanks and two of AIFV (APCs). About $120-150 with a few other items of support. If you use Russians and attack, you would want 31 tanks and 14 BMPs alone with recon, AA, etc. You could have a different force, but that should give your an idea. 3. They have taken charge cards, email them. 4. The Miniature Page, Bartertown, micro armor mayhem, are a few. 5. No, no one else lives there in Sudbury. Well, maybe.

1. What have u heard a bout a fistful of Tows and force on force??? 2. I am open to most forces but I do have a couple ideas I want to play out (playing out a second modern Korean war, an Iranian invasion of the gulf (based off of the Tom clancy novel Executive Desisions, heck I will more then likely check his other books like the Bear and the Dragon to get battle ideas.) any of the Arab wars or the classic Cold war gone hot. 3. Not a problem 4. Thanks ill have to check them out. 5. Some friend of mines say they will give it a go (one of the reasons I a getting 2 army's) Thanks for the info.

1. Good stuff about Fistful of Tows, not much about Force on Force. 2. Pick any force you want, but have an opposing force so that you and a friend are able to game. 3. 4. How have you found these pages? 5. 2 army's are preferable to one, just so that you can play. Hope that helps.
