Dose anyone know what this SDKFZ 305a staff car is? I can not find it any where on the web or in any of my books. I know that 300 series is semi-tracked vehicles and that a lower case "a" means "captured American". So as far as I can tell, the model number dose not match the vehicle in the box. any help would be great, and thanks,

Kelley:
I don't have that pack,so I'm just guessing; but-
Try doing a search/research on "Kfz 305" instead of "SdKfz 305"...
Been there, done that...
Jim
Edit-
I just looked at a photo on the web of this pack, and it does appear to be the Kfz 305 Opel Blitz "hard body" truck.
These had many uses, including radio/command vehicles...

You're welcome Kelley.
The difference between the two designations gets forgotten now and then.
Maybe CinC will change the listing now.

Hi everyone
I want to thank Jim again for getting pointed in the right direction again. This is what I have learned about CinC's SDKFZ 305a staff car. It is really a Kfz 305o. This staff car is a Luftwaffe vehicle. The 300 numbers were reserved for Luftwaffe vehicles. The (o) means commercial equipment, i.e. militarized civian vehicles. The (a) that CinC shows, stands for captured American equipment. I beleave, but not 100% sure, this and all 305 vehicle used a 4x2 Opel Blitze as its base. The Kfz 305 had a closed uniform body and there were a great many variations of Kfz. 305, their array ranging from "Kfz. 305/1 teletype decoding vehicle" through "Kfz. 305/88 X-ray darkroom chamber vehicle" to "Kfz. 305/137 repair shop vehicle for aircraft/armament tool making." Their bodies differed only in some slight and insignificant ways.

I hope this will help anyone who has that need to know like I do. Remember, war gaming is history, and the more you know, the better you will understand what your gaming.
