I forgot to take my camera.... dang.
Thus 8-12-2010: Venezuela. leader, Cmdr John, attacked into heavy wooded area. He had 13 AMX 30B2, 13 AMX VCI apcs, and 8 V100 with twin .30 in the turret(vietnam era GHQ produced) 8 Scorpin 90's. He moved slowly. Allowing the Columbian, leader (DJ), to move a forward a section of TOW launcher to front edge of wood-line. Hence Ven lost two AMX 30, and Col did not suffer any causalties. On of the AMX30 was the company commander, and the other 3 AMX 30 ran back to a wood-line.
Venezuela leader pushed up the middle thinking of a break out. The Columbian leader pushed to the flanks of the Venezuelan attack, forcing the Venezuelans to defend their flank and change the axis of attack. A slow moving gun battle in the wood ensued. The Columbian left flank group had infantry EE-11 and EE-9 in the woods. Being assaulted by AMX 30, AMX VCI and infantry. After 30 minutes of battle each was able to call up a battery of 81mm mortars.
On the Columbian right was facing Scorpin 90s, AMX VCI defending in the large wooded area with infantry EE-11 and a few EE11 with 90mm gun. Columbia had a some TOW launcher Hummers and M113/M150 to defend other wooded area in depth. [[smart move, I thought]]
The attacker did move some AMX 30 to front edge of wood-line, but were unseen by Columbian defense forces. The Venezulian force did not venture out. Had they moved out, some TOW would have hit them in the face and flanks along with a few 90mm rounds from EE-9s.
Columbians did give some group on their left frank, but never left the woods and did inflict significant casualities on the Venezuelian attackers.
A victory for Columbians.
GameMasters notes: I should have provided the attackers with perhaps another company of equipment, mixed tank and apc force.
